The scenario has begun which will decide and define the line between a portable computer and a giant touchscreen screen computer. For defining this, Sony has come up with its whopping 20 inch VAIO Tap Windows 8 Laptop/Tablet.
The new tablet PC by Sony is designed in a way that it can be used as an all-in-one PC and as an massive windows 8 tablet.
The outer shell consists of a large kickstand which can be slide out to give support to this 11 pound giant tablet to make it a table top tablet.
The 20” screen comes with 1600 x 900 pixels resolution with IPS screen technology. Inside it there is an Intel Ivy Bridge Mobile Processor with 4GB RAM and 500GB of Hard Disk Space.
The outer shell is covered with a rubberized seal which gives a good grip as well as resists the unit from drops and water spills. The 1.2MP web cam is fare enough to do the job.
Sony has enhanced the viewing experience in the Tap 20 by including the Sony mobile Bravia Engine 2 in the device.
Company has given an option to upgrade the processor with i5 or i7 and greater HDD Space which will definitely make the rise in price for the device.
The Sony VAIO TAP 20 starts at $880 which is probably a nice aspect to attract the customers, but again will it be going to posses all the notches that a fully powered tablet has or not.
