Facebook is Removing Discussion and Review Tabs from Pages on 31st Oct 2011

Facebook has announced that They will be removing “discussion tab” and “Review tab” from pages on 31st Oct 2011. This discussion app was just like a forum for a page, may be they will add some big thing in place of discussion app. Review tab was helpful for those page owner who made facebook apps/games, it helped to get the feedback from users. I got this from Somewhere:

What happened to the Reviews and Discussions tabs on my Facebook Page?
We’ve found that the best way to encourage conversation and feedback is through posts and comments on your Wall. We’ve removed these tabs for now as we work on tools to help you moderate and filter content. Our goal is to help you can manage everything from one powerful place. Stay tuned.

We’re Making Pages Better
We want to make sure the tools you use to manage your page are as effective as possible. Here’s an update that may affect how you connect with your audience:
  • Improvements to Insights: You’ll now see a new public metric called People Talking About This underneath your fan count to show the number of people on Facebook who have engaged with your page in the last 7 days. Learn more in your Page Insights.
  • Discussions: The best way to encourage conversation and feedback is through posts and comments on your Wall. To focus on this, we’ll be removing the Discussions app on October 31st. Learn More
