Pebble SmartWatch is going to ship its first lot to the backers from January 23rd. Let me introduce you with the Pebble SmartWatch, It’s a digital watch compatible with Android and iPhone with 1.26 inch e-Ink display.

Company has received 10 times more than the funding goal making it reach $1 million. Currently they are showcasing and demonstrating this watch in CES, Las Vegas. This is a very successful project on Kickstarter which has received over 80,000 orders excluding backers.

The watch runs on its very own and customised Pebble OS which makes it compatible with both Android and iPhone via Bluetooth. Pebblewatch when launche, will be priced at $150 but It was sold out to backers exclusively for $115

You can prebook this e-watch today from This watch has 4 input buttons, 3-axis accelerometer with gesture detection and light sensors. As its display is powered by e-Ink (or call it e-Paper) display with a resolution of 144 x 168 pixels. Display is sharp when seen in daylight without backlit. At night, backlit lits up automatically. Or you can choose to turn backlit on during daytime too.

You can choose from many watchfaces just like on iPod nano 6th Gen additionally, watchfaces can be customised using your mobile device. Other than showing time, It shows your phone notifications like missed calls, messages, emails, etc. when paired. Wait the list of features does not end up here.

It comes with pre-installed apps like cycling app to measure speed, calculate distance and pace using GPS, Golf rangefinder and many more coming in future.
