HTC has jumped into a new segment, pioneered by Samsung – 5-inch mobile phones aka phablets. The company has recently unveiled J butterfly in Japan.
It was previously a rumor that HTC is turning up to announce a 5-inch Android Phablet. But this is not a rumor, HTC officially announced it in Japan today. The phone features a giant 5 inch Super LCD 3 display with a jaw dropping resolution of 1920x1080p. Fast Fact: This is the max resolution of a HDTV.
Going deeply into the specs we find that the phone has the maximum and the best screen resolution yet. Obviously it has the resolution of a HDTV but measuring the pixels per inch technically, It has 440 ppi. This is more than the Sony Xperia S and iPhone 5 by 100ppi and 114 ppi respectively.
The phablet is expected to arrive with Android 4.1 JB OS, 8 MP camera, 1.5 Ghz Qualcomm quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal memory and lot more exciting features. Also, after a long time we are going to see a high-end mobile phone with IRda (Infrared) connectivity.
