The year 2012 has ended and we had seen tons of mobile phones that year. From Android to Windows Phones, innovation was everywhere. Though iOS 6 disappointed but is still a good OS and we hope we will see betterment in the year 2013.

In this post we will discuss the top 10 mobile phones of 2012 which marked excellence, quality and innovation.

10. HTC One S: Many people considered this phone better than One X in terms of performance. This phone is beautifully crafted, inspired by HOX and has a dual-core 1.2 Ghz processor. When launched, It was over-priced in the market but on the date it can be grabbed at as low as $450.

9. HTC Windows Phone 8X: Windows Phone 8 completely rocked the year 2012 and we saw many amazing WP8 devices coming out in the market. HTC 8X is one of them.

8. LG Optimus G: One of the first quad-core Android mobile announced but released later than HOX and S3. 13 MP camera is the one feature which outstands this device from other players in the ground.

7. Nokia Lumia 920: One of the best Windows Phone device to buy. Heard of Pureview technology (that Nokia 808 pureview if you had heard about)? Lumia 920 has pureview sensor in its 8MP camera which makes it the best camera phone of the year 2012.

6. Apple iPhone 5: Half the hype, half the novelty. iPhone 5 disappointed masses. Well but it’s the best iPhone till date. If you are an Apple fanboy, do not miss this one.

  • Same as above but it should not be a major problem.

5. HTC One X+: HTC was hyper active in 2012 and launched a number of mobile phones last year. One X was a gem and One X+ is a slightly improved variant of that.

4. Samsung Galaxy Note II: The true innovator of the year award should go to Samsung. Note II is one of its kind. You can say it’s the re-birth of PDA.

2. HTC Droid DNA: Launched in Q4,2012, this phone has the best screen resolution and display a mobile phone ever had. Even more than a HDTV.

So this is my set of smartphones which made the year 2012 joyful. Innovation everywhere. On the date, mobile phones and tablets are the only gadgets which are showing major innovations. Agree?
